I think that something short and intense is different than something long and sustainable, whether it’s submission or anything else. Would you want someone who is the perfect sub? Someone who always does what you say instantly and without question, someone who never challenges your orders, never has a smartass moment? Personally, I think that would be bland. That’s not to say I advocate total brattiness, but there’s a lot of gray area between the two extremes.

Leading by example…or in your case, being lead by example…is good for everyone involved.
